Whatever you do with your printer make sure you video everything just like this guy so you can remember how to reassemble it. Or if you need to upgrade harddrive or memory on your laptop. Also, whenever disassembling plastic parts instead of using a hard a screwdriver go down to your local auto parts store and buy small plastic wedges that are typically used for body work. They work much better to pry apart plastic parts. They don't score the finish.
Very good video. It will be great if you can also add the standard error messages before your disassembly steps so that we would only disassemble what we need to.
Good video and thanks for keeping an eye on what we're seeing and making sure the camera sees what we need. One thing I missed was after you removed the print head and carriage, the little slots that the timing strip goes through. My timing strip came out when I was gently cleaning it - obviously not gently enough! I fear it's way too late to get a picture of the slots now. Hopefully it will be obvious when I get the thing stripped down a bit. Cheers!
I really thought I missed up my printer by unlatching one of those tape connector strips this morning. I'm so happy you just showed me it's that easy to put it back in lol.. I figured so, I just didn't want to start a fire or anything lol. Thank you for sharing this video, it was really helpful, in so many ways! THANK YOU! I was able to disassemble my canon mg3220 to clear out an error that indicated my waste ink sponge was jammed. I was terrified I was going to snap something with all the bending of plastic parts. But, when I got in there I saw that the big sponge was mis-aligned. A gentle push, and it went back into place.
I looked at your video to help me investigate a 6A81 error on my MG6150 printer and I found it very useful to identify how to get a better look into the printer head carriage assembly and what might be causing the error. Wish me luck
I watched to gain information about replacing or cleaning the ink absorber. Your video was very clear and you did a great step to step job in helping to get to the parts. The ink abosorber wasn't mentioned. Do you know how to do this? ... where is it ... how do you get to it? can you add this to the video? Thank you!
Seems more cost effective to just throw it out and buy a new one. Or maybe sell to a local computer store for a few bucks or use as a trade-in. My PIXMA MG6220 has a software issue that I cant find any info on.

Hello, I had to take apart my Canon MG6150 to remove a paper jam. The left hand side panel contains the support for the lid Unfortunately the spring inside this arrangement of cogs fell out. Would you have the diagram of how the spring is laid out in this panel. Thankyou in anticipation.
Now... are you going to reassemble? I am pretty good a tearing things apart. Getting them back together is another challenge. TNX for video.

Thanks for the video. Thought I followed everything. (Had an ant infestation so got nothing but ants on and images of ants on print outs.) So now it switches on, makes a short horrid noise and gives me error 5012.

On my canon mg6220 I keep getting and error message that there is a paper jam. I searched high and low and find no jams. I did notice the paper will not feed thru bottom tray but will thru to top back photo paper feeder when powering up but then comes the jammed paper message. I also noted that the bottom paper roller feeder does not turn when powering up. It turns freely by hand. Is this normal? Could this be the cause on the jammed message? Is there a way to clear the message?

Mg6220 printer has a clogged blue area. I diassembled the print head. Soaked it in hot water. Took a syringe and shot water through the ports after removing the white head and 2 screws.. I did not shoot water through the white head for fear of ruining the head. Its better but not perfect... your suggestions? Hot water? Iso propyl? Your thoughts...
